Sawtooth, thx for your response/feedback.

While each of your 5 points are noteworthy, fear and greed is also gripping the general market tone including the media (i.e., CNBC) which is feeding the bulls on the good days and then the bears on the down days...journalism quarterbacking always in hindsight! Consequently, Coms with Palm and Coms sans Palm becomes largely VALUED by street PERCEPTION!
Potential merger/buyout, resultant increase in cash, refocused business model, and even EB credibility while significant issues will not mean a damn unless the street can be convinced that COMS is going to make GOOD on their own .... and this may take 2-3 QTRS which EB may be alluding to while keeping Palm control - (80%-93%) of shares in his POCKET (MAYBE Gates PC POCKET....whoops! fraudian slip!).

Re merger or buyout, I wouldn't be surprised if another company makes a bid for COMS/PALM post IPO, while holding the bulk of PALM shares! While EB is no Armstrong or Ebbers, he seems to be holding his cards pretty closely>>>> and I give him credit for trying to turn around COMS (sans Palm), but he's got to move fast! Timing is key! LU, CSCO, and even CS, could be eating COMS'"furure wireless" lunch... and how about MOT, Nokia or vodaphone???

Just thinking out loud....comments!
