But you don't say just what temperature, depth, etc. will appeal to you, nor how you will determine that. Any clues for those who respect Brownian motion?

Determining entry points occurs best for me in times of the most doubt. Will interest rates cause a serious, protracted long term downward move in the technology sector for many years or will it be a short term focus? How will this temper the growth rates of the identified gorillas for a 5 year or longer time horizon? Does the current price of Qualcomm at $110 with a PSR of 17.xx look more tempting to jump in than Qualcomm at $200 with a PSR of 27/28? Yes - of course it does. Would it be tempting at a PSR of 11 or 12 or 13 or 14? That's obvious. Will we get there? Who knows.

In short, a little patience and knowledge of where the stocks I invest in have been trading helps determine when to put some 'new' money to work for the kids. I won't hit the exact 'sweetest spot', but if I miss it - the most important part of the equation makes up for it and irons out the 'miss' - time.

Now, if you'll excuse me, the four year old wants to put make-up on Daddy and fix his hair at her new 'vanity set' which Mommy bought at a rummage sale yesterday.
