Dear David: Its a K6. As I understand it its a power problem. ie I just dont have enough juice to upgrade although yes I got plenty of open slots. My friends, are all gone, moved away. When I looked into upgrading the stuff I needed exceeded $600 and I would be left with an adequate but mediocre system. I am thinking now of going with a HOME ENTERTAINMENT system complete with large monitor, (I have 17" now), power video and sound cards, and great speaker system. Also want the T/V out and Rd/Rw system. I figure, might as well get something out of the space besides just computing. JDN
