Depreciation and asset write-downs result in losses but consume no cash. -Z

Hectorite,

I always thought cash was a part of the book value, and since the value of physical assets may fluctuate or be written off completely, I just look the cash amount as a floor for a stock. While HTCH does trade below stated book value and may indeed drift lower, $10-$12 would look to be an excellent entry point based on the cash per share, if we get there.
