~OT~ Craig: You are right....why short DELL now? I never go short on stocks but if I was going to now I can promise you that DELL would not be considered. Stocks like AMZN or QCOM IMO have much more inflated valuations and consequently have the potential to drop much more in the weeks ahead. Look at these recent comments from a poster on the QCOM thread...

<<I also have some worries about competing technology. I don't know enough to make a decision on this. There is CDMA and TDMA and something being tested by NTT called W CDMA. This may or may not pose a threat to the future of QCOM main source of revenues and hence its ability to grow at the rate it has in the past. Any slowdown in rate of growth will result in a slowdown in the expansion of the PE. Right now, we are at about 100 based upon 2000 earnings. Not bad if the company can keep growing at the rate it is but terrible if it becomes a DELL.

So, what do we have. A bunch of very, unformed, nervous investors who have seen their stock TUMBLE in one week. A lot of current investors didn't get in when the Q was under 100 (pre-split) like a lot of folks on the QCOM thread did. Those who got in at $10 aren't having a difficlut time with this. Those who got in in November or December are watching all of their paper profits disappear entirely.>>
