It will be anti-dilutive....ballard sells shares and gets $$$$ for them....they take those dollars and reinvest into fuel cell production facilities which will generate revenue....

Anti-dilutive, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Generate revenue, sure. Over how long of a time period?

First BLD cranks up the old dog-and-pony show (AKA PR machine), and now they plan on issuing $200M in new stock. It reads like a pump and dump to me. Oops, that's a penny-stock term. OK then I'll put it into a plain-and-simple big-cap term:

Call it STOCK DILUTION.

Im not sure if any of you caught Global Thermoelectric on National TV today. Jim Perry did an awesome job of laying out GLE's advantages. The best part of all was the way he described the differences in reforming technology, he described briefly how reforming works, described how a PEM reformer works, talked about its size, complexity etc., then he described the SOFC reformer, as he started to describe it, he reached down and pulled out a SOFC REFORMER OUT OF HIS SUIT POCKET!!!!!! It was CLASSIC!!!! Hehe, this will go down in infamy of Jim Perry's famous rabbit out of the hat trick!!! I have previously asked GLE on what it reformer would cost in production, I was told about $25.00!!!!!!

You should have seen the sly shit eating grin Mr Perry had on, it was classic, hehe!!!

Michael,
I agree it is in the long haul a net positive. However the
timing of this is bad given the last week or so, and where
this week may go with Mr. Greenspan speaking, and the inflation fears.

I was never concerned about dilution when FORD, or Daimler or... were issued shares from the company float in return for their investments. However this is different as it is a public issue, and seems to be aimed at taking the price out of the stratosphere, and converting the energetic retail pursuit of this stock into cash in the corporate coffers rather than say, doing a split.

One has to wonder about the brokerage community's knowledge about this in advance of the announcement - did it trigger some of the recent price slide?

As you indicate, it is a good thing on the whole when it yields manufacturing and delivery facilities but those results are a year or more in the future.

For people playing this stock long, I think this will be a stressful event especially if they got in near the recent top, as for them it is dilution.
