I almost bought his book, but after the bust I figured it might be better to read the sequel. He's doing something with someone named Laurel Kenner, as I learned earlier after reading a piece for TheStreet.com. The following was the disclaimer that followed their piece:

Laurel Kenner is a trader and a former markets editor at Bloomberg. Former hedge fund manager Victor Niederhoffer is currently a private investor and author of The Education of a Speculator. At time of publication, Kenner and Neiderhoffer were long BroadVision, Sun Microsystems and held a net long position in S&P 500 futures and options, although positions can change at any time. Under no circumstances does the information in this column represent a recommendation to buy or sell stocks. While they cannot provide investment advice or recommendations, they invite you to comment on this column at commentarymail@thestreet.com.

last i heard, was soon after the debacle he stated he felt shame and disgrace, that he had let everybody down--and was talking about trying to find forgiveness---he committed a cardinal sin that day,he risked everybody's money in his care, on one wild roll of the dice and it blew up in his face--he certainly didn't teach any wisdom to himself in his book,i would say.max
