Regardless, that doesn't seem to be what Compaq sees going forward, and I think they are the largest PC manufacturer worldwide. FWIW, I think Dell has also cut growth estimates.

No one with an ounce of sense who has been anywhere in this business can question the rapid decline in growth of the PC market either from a units or revenue perspective - the unit growth has gone from 100% per year in the early '90s to 15% in 2000... and decline in ASPs may well provide negative revenue growth over the next few years.
