jmac : re CNXT

The news broke on CNXT the day before (Thursday). If you look at the day chart for on Friday, the stock moved down to low/mid 80's then
volume picked way up in the last 15 minutes. I caught the last 5 minutes of regular trading where over 4million shares changed hands
(that is the normal daily volume). The price remain locked around 86.5

After hours was similarly hectic.

I thought the volume after hours was a little high for 'clearing the books'. One block for 1.7million shares, another block for .5million.
And the price only budged by cents.

Anyone know of any books that describe price setting mechanisms?

TIA
