Dan,

I for one wouldn't mind having 4:1 margin on an intraday basis. As far as requiring an individual to have 25K to daytrade I think they are just trying to protect themselves from lawsuits, etc. These regulators don't want Joe Blow daytrading with his $5,000 life savings. It all comes down to a suitability issue. We may not agree with it but I think this might be the angle the regulators are taking?
