In "MP3 to go" I found this statement regarding the desirable features of an mp3 player... As for storage media, most players use one of two competing formats: Smart Media or CompactFlash. Smart Media cards are physically smaller. However, CompactFlash cards can store substantially more data. Some players use a proprietary format, but this is less desirable-- especially if you want to share the card with other devices such as a digital camera. Ausdauer
