Has anyone looked into this DSL (that's high-speed Internet access) stuff?

Yep, I use it on a daily basis! I'm signed up with PacBell's DSL Fastrak, getting up to 1500 Kb/s download from a good server. Service has been outstanding, reliable for the most part, and speed tends to be faster than the T1 we have at school. All for only $50/month! But, I live less than a mile away from the central switching station. You can live up to 3 miles away and still get their standard 384/128K service...

For those that have had DirecTV for some time, snow has rarely, if ever, been a problem. I suspect DirecPC is the same. They now offer a dual dish.

For those that get 20 feet of snow, there is a snow jacket available for the dish.
