I know Coke is often trashed in the media as being too expensive, but it is a very unique company. It's one of the few companies in the world that you can say will be much larger 20, 30, 40 years from now with some confidence.

You can't say that about almost any individual tech company, drug company, retail, industrial, financial etc.... They all have issues or major challenges.

I think that's why Coke often sells at a PE ratio that doesn't look like it makes sense. People feel more confident that they can discount its earnings further into the future. I wouldn't buy it this price, but it wouldn't shock me if it looks expensive for the next 20 years.

I think I'd take the money and run. But I haven't been right too often lately. (g)
