Timing access control revenues . . .

steve, As the analysts like to say, we on the thread haven't gotten a lot of 'visibility' on the timing of access control revenues via the V20. But since it doesn't look like the product is OEM'd, and because the distributors/system integrators sales segment was described as about three months long on the recent conference call, I'll assume that timing revenue here is about three months after units are shipped, rather than six months. I could be off by a month either way, easily.

That says to me that we see V20 sales show up next quarter, with maybe a little in this quarter if we're lucky. But we don't have to wait for the 2001 fiscal year.

To all,

From the last FORM 4 ASCOM held 4,199,924 shares. Their last trade that has been published was 12/20/99 S 4,300 D 7.25.

On 12/20/99 we closed at 7 1/8. On 12/21/99 we closed at 6 7/8. Look at the chart and the price has climbed since then:)

Now, the press release about ASCOM selling their stake said the sold 4.1 Mil shares. I'm sure that is a rounded figure but, 4.2 (My rounding from the form 4) minus 4.1 (Their rounding from the press release) leaves about 100,000 thousand shares out there somewhere.

If ASCOM was selling after 12/20/99, will we see an updated form 4 accounting for those shares? And if they were selling, then IMO that certainly says a lot about the price increase from 12/21/99 to 01/26/00.

We can clearly see the effects of ASCOMs selling. And now that they are out, I'm actually feeling pretty good. And am actually considering adding to my position at this level. Clearstation has signaled an uptrend. MACD, the fast line has crossed the slow line in the up direction. What I find interesting is that it happened above the centerline. Haven't seen that for some time. Volume is telling me that there is some strength to that move. Stochastic is approaching overbought but combine that with ASCOM not selling anymore, we should see by the lack of selling keeping the stochastic staying up in that area for awhile, till we hit the 12 to 12 1/2 level I'm thinking...Rob?

Incidentally, DIMENSIONAL FD ADVISORS, INC. has increased their position from 568,000 to 589,500 if I'm reading their 13F-HR filed 01/27/2000 correctly.

steve

ps, This just in... More encouragement. Institutions increasing their positions. Looks to me like they're buying more than they're selling.
