< Few things would be worse than putting up 50 or 60 k, and losing 40 grand, then finally getting good at trading only to find .. > If they go to the $25K there are other ways around it I think. For those that are trading say $5K accounts, why couldn't they move some of their longer term holdings in another brokerage account to the day trading account. Essentially keep that equity there to insure they exceed the minimum requirements and then just trade with whatever equity they used to trade. Dave
