Gentlemen, MSFT's fluke can not be repeated for many reasons. In one sense the evolution and history of the human race is a good manifestation of why some of the greatest species, civilizations and conglomerates have faded away. Owing to the speed of change in this Technotronic Era we will more than likely never see one entity dominate a market in the same way as MSFT did in the past. At the current pace of innovation companies will rise and fall within our own generation and I wouldn't be surprised if MSFT was non existent in 20 years from now.

CJ and Gary incessantly like to remind us of MSFT's financial wherewithal, but they make one fatal mistake in their reasoning, MSFT is not taking on PALM or any other company alone, an entire army of companies are supporting the PALM, not for the sake of PALM but only to prevent a repeat of the ramifications associated with the PC era. For MSFT to defeat the PALM they will need to defeat the likes of IBM, SUNW, ORCL, AOL, NOK, SONY, MOT and a whole slew of other companies, that is why MSFT is doomed. The best they can hope for is to survive with a small share of the market.

ROFLMAO--- I bet on many and am chicken of none. I have an avg on MSFT that would make your eyes water. Grow up and understand COMS is not good only lucky. They did not even know what they had until the mkt told them load and clear. AOL's service is meant for people like you. I would never use it but have owned the stock for a long time. The point is PALM will do great. There is a mkt for it that will be around for a long time. It will turn into a strong player for those that have limited useage as AOL will be around forever. However MSFT and AOL are into much more than 1 product. PALM has 1 and coms has little cof value. Anyone that believes MSFT is not a threat to any area it wishes to compete in is a fool! That does not mean $$$ cannot be made with issues where there is competition,,, are your shorts a bit tight? You sure do squeal when you hear something you do not like and evidently do not understand,, LOL!!!
