mishedlo: My guess and it's purely a guess, is the ASSP link is merely for letting designers using or considering using RMBS know where they should go for "off the shelf" ASSPs which support RMBS. To me, the ASSP link you provided as well as the ASIC and other links on the left column of the page are there for information purposes to make it easier for designers to incorporate RMBS into their designs. To the extent RMBS can make designers lives easier, the more design wins they will achieve and the more royalty revenue they will receive. That's my guess based on little analysis. froland.
