Elmer CPU core to CPU core AMD is far superior 40% faster in FPU than P6 Core (when comparing same L2 caches)

So you comment sounds like a man in denial about the Core.

I agree INTC has done a excellent job of finding ways to kick P6 in the ARSE so it appears to go faster (kinda like Nitrous Oxide in a car) But it only works so Long before it wheres off.

AMD Athlons was built with 2+ Ghz in mind from day one(per a AMD spokesman in a interview).

It will be interesting to see what progress AMD and INTC have this year.

AMD doesn't have to blow Willamette out of the water with Mustang. Just stay on Par.

As Long as AMD is equal or better people will come for a 2nd source of CPU's.

I've been purchasing Millions of dollars of hardware for over a decade, and I've never limited my self to one manufacture. I've always had 3 or 4.
