Commenting on Amazon.com's (AMZN: news, msgs) layoff announcement, CS First Boston analyst Lise Buyer noted that the e-tailer had doubled its work force in the last three months and therefore "an organizational review of employees and company needs is a good decision." See Net Stocks. She also noted that the company will continue to hire new workers as needed. Buyer reiterated her "buy" rating. The stock fell 5 1/4 to close at 61 11/16
