NET PERCEPTIONS POSITIONED TO BE LEAD SOLUTION FOR PERSONALIZATION THROUGHOUT ASIA NET PERCEPTIONS ADDS DISTRIBUTION PARTNERS IN HONG Kong, China, Korea, Taiwan and Singapore
Mon Jan 31 12:49:00 EST 2000

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan 31, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- In a decisive
move to be the primary source for realtime personalization technology
in the burgeoning Asian Internet economy, Net Perceptions (Nasdaq:
NETP), the pioneer and leading provider of personalization solutions,
has signed partner agreements with three Asian resellers for
distribution and support of Net Perceptions' technology throughout
China, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan. With exponential
e-commerce growth anticipated throughout Asia in the next few years,
this move strategically positions Net Perceptions well ahead of other
players in the personalization arena.

"The Asia Pacific markets offer explosive growth opportunities for our
personalization technology," said Net Perceptions CEO and president,
Steven Snyder. "E-commerce in Asia is expected to reach $32 billion by
2003. Clearly, Asia is a huge untapped market for personalization.
Being there now, with this level of coverage, gives us a tremendous
advantage."

The new Net Perceptions resellers include DACOM System Technologies
Ltd., MPC Ltd. and the Web Connection. All three companies will market
Net Perceptions for e-Commerce and Net Perceptions for Call Centers to
the Korean market, focusing on each of their individual areas of
expertise. Additionally, the Web Connection will represent Net
Perceptions products out of their base in Hong Kong as well as through
their offices in China, Taiwan and Singapore.

Based on the terms of the agreements, Net Perceptions customers and
prospects will be able to license Net Perceptions realtime
personalization technology from these e-commerce solutions providers
and receive local support in their native language. With ten times the
customer base of its closest competitor, the announcements greatly
expand Net Perceptions' position as the world's preeminent source for
realtime personalization solutions.

Goldman Sachs' Asian Internet analyst, Rajeev Gupta agrees, adding,
"E-commerce in Asia is still in its infancy but is expected to go
through explosive growth in a very short period of time. While
consumers and businesses will likely all benefit from the growth in
e-commerce, the real winners will be those companies that become
implementers of Internet strategies for e-commerce. To ensure their
long-term success, we believe alliances with 'best of breed' partners
like Net Perceptions differentiates and adds value to those companies
seeking to build successful Asian e-commerce strategies."

The Web Connection, established in 1995, offers strategic Internet
solutions for major corporations and dot-com startups that recognize
the power of the Internet as a business platform and customer
relationship management channel. The Web Connection brings together
core competencies in digital strategy, technology integration, creative

to offer this technology to our clients."
