I few years back, Michael Murphy on his Technology newsletter
said that cdma platform did not work and Quallcom was a short! I think his advice stinks. It obviously influenced me in to not buying QCOM'

Credit Suisse First Boston maintained its Buy rating on Qualcomm Inc.
(QCOM, $111, down 9). They kept EPS estimates of $0.96 for fiscal 2000
and $1.27 for 2001 and said Qualcomm was "adding to its patent arsenal"
with the planned purchase of SnapTrack Inc. for $1 billion in stock.

EMC Corp Raised

Banc of America Securities raised their 12-month price target on the
shares of EMC CORP (EMC, $102, down 6) to a range of $135-$140 a share
from $90. Also, Bear Steams lifted their estimate for EMC's 2000 profits
to $1.45 a share from $1.40, and to $1.95 from $1.90 in 2001, reflecting
accelerating revenue growth. >>>
