<<So lets say msft RANK AND FILE people got ¬ of that in 1994 or so. After 2 splits - viola - 10K shares at 100 stock price - one million.>>

Need to deduct the excercise price. Plus, most places the options are granted over 3 or five years and don't vest for one year. So to deduct from the one million the average excercise price of $10 and (1994- 5 1995 - 10 and 1996-15) = "only" 900k. Not big difference for tax purposes, i agree.

But with linux, apache, and Sun nipping at msft share, AOL already there, a possible court-ordered break-up, and MSFT leadership changing, i would be willing to bet that lots of previously sanguine msft employees are starting to think long and hard about their unrealized gains...

Again, just my opinion.

Lizzie - Are you familiar w/ Sterling Commerce? They are a B2B company, w/ an amzing PE - 20. They're included in several internet indexes, too. I suspect they're an integrator who has shifted focus towards this business recently. I ask you, because you because you are so well versed in this area. I got some Ten Fold a month ago after discussing it with you and made a quick 25%!

TIA and best regards,
TK
