And, no, IBM is not eIBM either. Nor is Texas Instruments eTexas Instruments; Lucent is not eLucent (although that sounds nice!) and neither is Lanier eLanier.

For one who appears somewhat disgruntled, I think even you would have been impressed with "Elwood's," as you affectionately call him, technology so prominently displayed at IBM's booth at the recent CES Convention where companies like eMicrosoft were showing off what the future would look like.

You know what? To this day, if I want a transcribing machine or a dictating machine, I'm gonna pick up a Sony. That's why "Elwood" made a decision to stick to the technology end and work on something to fit the future, not the past, and leave the business end to someone with a greater expertise in that area.
