Won WHAT? An Argument I was not making? You are both very clearly insane. You can agree to win an argument I was not having with JF all you want but I it is my duty to remind both of you that you have ventured into the outer limits and begun to make arguments with the air.

I said nothing about NOT venerating one's ancestors. I have relatives who died for the Southern cause. JF knows that, or should know that- since I have mentioned it before but maybe he has forgotten- who can say?

I always get annoyed when people venture outside the realms of reality because I do not generally do that. I state what is a PERSONAL opinion, regarding the NATURE of symbolism and you and JF take the excuse to offer an apologia for the Southern cause. TOO FU*KING WEIRD.

You are most eloquent. It's ironic that the Union Army veterans had little of the rancor that marks this current generation, and they had felt the full brunt of that Battle Flag. Politicians waved the bloody shirt, which is what this current bunch is doing, but the veterans of both armies met in 'encampments' for many years after the war.
