Everyone can understand the tactics by which single battles are won, but few can see the overall strategies whinc lead to great victories. It is probably true right now at this point in time that QCOM has the standards game in the bag but only a select few at QCOM know the whole battle plan--and they seek to disarm the unsuspecting. Look for NOK, AT&T, MOT, ERICY, the IDC FUDmongers and the whole host of detracters to scurry for cover in the very near future. AT that time, it will just be too late to pick up Q for 110. Sure wish I had dumped my IRA QCOM stock back on 1/3 so I could get this 2X factor.

The LA Times published a story on Hedy Lamarr today that is pretty accurate.

Engineer, consider that without input like yours it's hard to distinguish the verity of some of these posts. It was a question brought up on my own thread and where else would I go to clarify it? I'm not trying to waste thread time on snakes, nor am I trying to take potshots at QCOM. A spirit of helpfulenss and exchange of info is the point of these threads, I believe.

Engineer. Thanks so much for reassuring us with your expert post in IDC & patents. Your contributions and those of the other technical people have helped us all keep our cool when these untrue stories are promoted.

engineer,

Thanks for the information, as always.

PS - The Globalstar worked at 24,000 feet and the reception was excellent. I did need to point the antenna toward the southwest(Texas), so I'm not sure it would have worked on the other side of the plane. AND... the Rams won!

engineer:

talk about doing your own homework. I have been trying to find the messages somewhere around 19500 on this thread that delineated the differences between WCDMA and CDMA. Do you have them? It's hard going viewing 10 msg. at a time or clicking Previous 40.

thanks.
