Do keep stock certificates yourself or have a limit order to sell at 10 times the present value, so brokerages can not lend out your stock. Large borrowed stock condition tend to have pull back which trashes your stock value.

Do watch out for number of option contracts , which might change your stock value if investors hedge on large short positions. Your stock value also might change on expiration.

Don't forget defensive strategy when stock is known to be overbought. Sell with the market makers. Buy back with the market makers.
