Gary, I believe that BRCM will go down further. It could go down as far as 210. But it might not. I think that the semis have a bit of correcting to do....especially the high flyers, however those same high flyers are the ones that I want when the market comes back. Another strategy is to buy puts to protect the downside. You will pay the most premium for ATM puts, and get better 1:1 tracking for ITM puts.

This is the strategy that I used for QCOM and ARBA. Even though both of these are weak, I am not seeing any fluctuation in my account.

Or you can sell and look for entry at support.
