hey david,

now i'm no expert, but i learned that if back orifice is present on your system, it leaves a tell-tale trace... a file called WINDLL.DLL. you can search your hard drive for that file.

if the open port was 139, it's my understanding that many people have that result. i did. i believe that gibson's site has many tutorials on what to do next, does it not?

in addition, if you have an antivirus program, i suggest that you obtain all current virus definitions and run a scan. configure the scan to search all files on your pc. this takes extra time, and as a result, it is not the default setting on most av programs.
