Thread, I just received an email from AMD concerning the K6-3+ speculation. I had asked them about it since the speculation was increasing. Chuck, re:"willamette" So are you saying that first silicon does run at > 1Ghz??? I am not surprised BTW. The key is will there be any real volumes in Q4 or will it be a cumine type of launch where they sell 1-2M willys and declare victory. I am also intrigued by Timna. RDRAM prices are still not coming down. I wonder how this will perform with SDRAM. Intels seems to me to be still paying the RDRAM price of shooting itslef in the head. regards, Kash
