Looking at IBM's web site, it appears to me that LTO is 15 Mb/sec transfer rate although in some places they still list specs as 10-20. I suspect this is the figure for Accellis getting mixed in with the Ultrium specs. Good news for both of us if correct. 20 Mb/sec would be tough competition.

From the conference call Quantum said they repurchased 6.9 million shares during last quarter and it cost approx. $100,000,000. They said they expected to repurchase the same amount this quarter and the next until the buyback was complete. Quantum also said that SDLT was in qualification and there was no change to prior guidance. Depends on what you refer to for prior guidance, but I thought it meant volume in the second half of the year. They did state that SDLT shipments would represent approximately 10% of overall DLT drive shipments this year (not this Fiscal Year, but year 2000). Quantum HDD also repurchased 3,000,000 of their shares at an average price of $6/share. That's about all I remember from the conference call. It was real short. Especially the Q&A.
