I believe there are unique regenerative properties to fetal cells which enable the healing. JLA

I'm not an expert either. While visiting at the hospital I over heard someone talking about the research being done in Europe using fetal spinal cords. I think the reason they don't use (adult) donor cells is because the rapid growth of the fetal cells has something to do with the benefits. The operation is available in Mexico. I hope some of the other promising experimental treatments make this idea obsolete...but I doubt it.
