someone on gold eagle has been drinking...

I would bet todays rally, on negative breadth (1447/1620) and negative closing tick (-272), is mostly end of month porfolio window dressing-also the P.T.T. could be in there, too.-The Junior Woodchuck guide says that when a market is bearish, a cheery, hopeful rally on Monday is not unusual.Actually I'm glad the mkt. is up today-if it were falling apart, the FED would have an excuse to raise only a quarter pt. or perhaps not at all.XXXXXAs for Bob Brinker, his unflagging bullishness this decade gives him the highest credibility--on his Sunday spiel he hinted at the possibility of a depression-there were several posts yesterday about his 25% stock allocation. As far as I know, Wolanchuk is not looking for more than a correction--but Brinker is a good one to have on the bear side-so we are all forewarned. The market, as I said earlier, is a psychopath, merrily going along its way, as if it hadn't a care in the world-Will Brinker be just another casualty of this bull mkt.?? Like all the others, will the mkt. do a slime job on him too? Should be interesting-a very savvy, 30 yr. mkt. veteran, friend of mine, who trades $10 mill. of his own money in stocks, says he thinks Brinker is talking about a long term bear-he said Bob mentioned the post 1929 sucker rallies and warned people to sell any rallies from here.My best guess is down the rest of the week.
