Bill. Thanks for the WCOM article. I had not read it yet. WCOM did great today. Earlier today my portfolio was mostly deep in the red but surprise; it ended in the black. On days like these you need nerves like steel or maybe you are just plain nuts if you are fully invested like I am. gg. Anyhow. Maybe Ann won't blame ME that she bought into WCOM. Someone has a target price of 160 on PCS. I don't own it. I just stay with my WCOM. About Smith Barney. I thought they sold a huge block of PCS stock or at least they filed to sell it by the middle of Jan. Intel did great again today. Up almost 5. Sonny

Bill. Telecoms. I heard this morning that WCOM is expecting to hear about their merger by mid summer. If approved the deal should be done by the end of this year. SSB has PCS as a buy with a target price of 150. PSIX has a target price of 180 for the end of this year from Weisel. Wow. Seems a bit high but I am not complaining. It will be splitting mid FEB. I guess that price target is for after the split. gg. Nokia will be splitting 4 for 1. The company will be buying back 2 mill. of their shares in the open market beginning FEB 8th. I own all but PCS. I am wondering if I should buy some of that. Ericy is touted as a good buy. Do not own that either. Too bad I never bought into Airtouch, now Vodafone. Too bad you can't buy everything. This China deal with QCOM went through. CDMA is coming to China. Now we need more of Europe. Ericy is more with GSM. Did you get to see the White House meeting with the Congress/Senate leaders this morning? Greenspan got confirmed by a committee. Will be voted on on Thursday. Done deal I guess unless interest rate hike will be too high and the market goes into a tail spin. gg. I guess, even in that scenario, he would be confirmed. Intel must be suffering from all this insider sell. A.G. is selling a nice big amount along with some other top executives. Sonny
