Mark -- Thanks for the valuable information on European standards. It appears CMTO's proprietary systems have a strong market for the foreseeable future. I'm trying to find a reason for today's stock strength and lacking any news, I have to assume lights are coming on in the sector and due diligence is finally paying off. If I were looking at a pure play, I'd certainly look at each company's balance sheet --- going beyond management cant --- as well as look at deployments surrounding any announced contracts. If I were interested in North American deployments, I'd ask about Motorola's position with Shaw and whose modems Rogers has deployed to date. This might be difficult to research considering the lack of verity we recently discovered from Terayon. I'd also want to find out the status of the Rogers waiver and whether TERN will have to restate its earnings based on the revenues those shipments represent. Furthermore, I'd want to ask CableLabs --- or anyone familiar with the process --- what's on the docket. Considering Com21's main competitor has stated publicly they'll have another DOCSIS product by the end of the year, I'd want to know if it's yet another OEM model or if it's their S-CDMA. Based on the SEC filing stating 1.2 has been put on hold --- with the term no longer being used --- I'd want to know exactly what this does to S-CDMA's chances of being written into any future specifications. This is not insignificant. Lacking any specificity on contributions from Telegate, Imedia, and Radwiz, I'd want to know where their proprietary products line-up for future DOCSIS deployments. If they've not submitted their S-CDMA modems, are they relying on their OEM products? If so, at what prices and with what margins. And once I'd gone this far, I'd probably want to know the status of the competition's major European contract. [Being a strong believer in the cockroach theory. . .] Heck, since by now I'd be on a roll, I'd probably ask about headcounts. I know CMTO's doubling their sales force this year but I don't know where the competition stands. If they're succeeding with their newer technologies coming on board through their acquisitions, perhaps all my concerns would be put to rest. But I'd certainly want some solid answers. Pat
