Jay,

For what its worth -I have found that quote.com data, when everything is working, is highly accurate. I've compared it to PCQuote Hyperfeed and also to the futures quotes displayed in my order entry application - I have never noted any discrepency worth talking about.

I think your application and data service is *great value* for the money when its running well, and I have every sense that over time the issues will be rectified and "running well" will be the norm.

;) I must say I'm saddened to hear from you that there is no great consipiracy at Quote.com, that would be terrific intrigue to fill what might be otherwise wasted moments when the market is closed or quiet ;)

Cheers
Michael

>>If this is correct, could I ask WHY you would want to do this rather than have a "mirror" of the NASD tape?

>Bandwidth... To conserve bandwidth a data provider must eliminate and compress any data possible, but still provide as much data as necessary for the end-user. Qcom_datadept

I'm sorry, but that is the craziest thing I have ever heard said!

Are you saying it TAKES LESS bandwidth to send 11:52, the time YOU received it rather than, say, 11:49 - the ACTUAL time of a trade from the NASD tape?

Surely you jest.
