Bob - i also wouldnt own EMC on a fundamental basis - Hardware vendors like Sun, HP and IBM are getting smart about storage . EMC revenue is still predominantly based on mainframes..not Unix where there are a host of competitors who finally have the software that has differentiated EMC for so long. Sun in particular is taking the proprietary microcode built into symmetrix for remote replication and backup and putting them on the network where they belong - EMC charges a stiff premium becasue of this software.
