re: Mexico

1)Despite attempts to broaden their economy with subcontracting for US..., a great deal is still based on natural resource production. If OPEC weakens (as is being pushed by the US) so follows a large part of their economy.

2)A recent swipe against the Mexican economy (& NAFTA)was taken by Clinton when he continued the ban against their truckers outside the border states. Though I suport the ban of unsafe & or uninsured(or underinsured) trucks from our roads, it will be a hit against the Mexican economy.

3)When one looks at Mexico, one must also look at the US states which border Mexico. Two of these NM & TX (in a great deal of the border area other than El Paso) have a VERY poor economy, with HIGH levels of chronic unemployment(though the TX seems to be a bit off bottom). It is an election year.
