cfoent: My prediction is that China will NOT enter the WTO this year, no way, no how. This will not affect QCOM's negotiations to bring CDMA into China. I believe some of the strongest and most influential of Republican Senators don't want to see China enter the WTO due to human rights concerns - these are not fringe Republicans. The Republicans are also more adamant regarding Taiwan's defense, including Bush or McLain. The Democrats would do the Neville Chamberlain thing, they give Taiwan back to the Chinese in a heartbeat if allowed. Bradley would hand it over to them for $24 but he's got as much chance getting elected as I do. Geez, I loved him as a Knick.

For the overly enthused regarding QCOM's action today - we've got stiff resistance at 140 and major resistance at 160. It QCOM cannot get through 160 and I'm not so sure it will even attempt 160 in this run, we will have one wide trading range of say 115-145. This could last for the next several months. We are still consolidating. Earnings will be the key. Fed will continue to hike. April tax season around the corner. Naz is not ready to break out and make new highs. That will be saved for the second half of this year. All IMHO, of course.
