Kaufman Brothers speaking today about the status of orders/contracts:

"We believe recent weakness in NTRX shares represents a strong buying opportunity for investors. We continue to anticipate NTRX will soon report significant 4Q99 results, including combined revenue growth rate in the low- to mid-teens, operating profitability (before non-recurring M&A charges and other items), and a book-to-bill ratio significantly greater than one. Further, we anticipate that the company is poised to garner major customer wins in the carrier marketplace, driven by recent acquisitions and the continued rollout of next-gen products. To wit, at COMNET last week, in discussions with industry peers and individuals at NTRX's booth, we learned that PSINet (PSIX $80 5/8; STRONG BUY), is currently trialing the company's new N3000 product line, which is a modular voice over virtual private network (VoVPN) gateway router designed to provide companies with all the benefits of convergence with Internet security. In particular, the N3000 combined voice gateway and data router works over virtually any network and provides totally secure voice and data using industry standards such as IPSec and H.323. We believe PSIX, as well as other large ISP customers of OpenROUTE (e.g., UUnet, of MCI WorldCom - WCOM $41 5/8; BUY), are logical purchasers of the device for deployment across their global networks."

Hi Vincent,
I disagree with you.
As Kaufman Bros state in their reiteration "We believe his departure is a logical event during NTRX?s turnaround, in that it simplifies the company?s management structure and leaves the company?s Chairman and CEO, Steve Francesco, at the helm."

There are not many success stories of 2 (capable) CEO's working along side each other after a takeover, so as the report says, the move is "logical" and therefor the sell-off out of place.

Maybe it was just profit taking. After such a steep run up maybe some of those involved wished to take some money off the table.

We have had a strong rally which is now reaching its overdue end in its 15th week, Alan G is about to raise the rates again, and high techs are (considered) overbought. So why not?

I also own MDIX that has enjoyed a similar recent run, and that too got hit in a similar way yesterday
