Todays news things are unfolding as they should, albeit slow but sure !Applied Gaming's lottery to televise in Vietnam Applied Gaming Solutions of Canada Inc AGC Shares issued 21,500,004 2000-02-17 close $0.58 Friday Feb 18 2000 Mr. David Aftergood reports Marketing of the on-line lottery in Hanoi is moving to a new and higher level with national television coverage of the daily and weekly draws. "The government of Vietnam has acted on our recommendation that the lottery draws be televised daily in order to generate even more excitement for the new on-line lottery," stated AGC president and chief executive officer, David Aftergood. "This decision to nationally televise the daily and weekly draws signals the growing success of Vietnam's first on-line lottery. We are delighted with this new and unique phase of marketing the product in Vietnam." The on-line lottery was developed by AGC under contract to the government of Vietnam. AGC has an exclusive seven-year contract to provide all equipment, software, training and consulting services. The draws will be shown daily at 7 p.m. local time, beginning this Saturday evening, Feb. 19, 2000, on national television channels as well as simulcast on radio channels available in Vietnam. Since the Hanoi lottery opened on Aug. 9, 1999, there has been over 100,000 winners. The number of winners has risen consistently over the past five months. AGC currently is exploring on behalf of the government of Vietnam the potential launch of an Internet lottery and associated gaming site. This unique initiative will provide increased exposure for the national lottery program in Vietnam and throughout Asia as well as increase potential revenues for the government. Also, AGC is finalizing arrangements for the anticipated country-wide rollout of the modern on-line lottery in Vietnam. The corporation anticipates providing further information shortly.
