Bill Gates says:

BILL GATES DETAILS PLANS FOR WINDOWS
Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates at the World Economic Forum on Sunday detailed broad changes to Windows over the next three years that will make the operating system share many features
with the Web. Gates called the changes a "new interface," which he compared to the debut of Windows. "We're actually going to have a new generation of applications that will look better, look
different than the existing applications," Gates said. "I think the evolutionary approach won't get us where we really want to be." In coming years, Microsoft will release software that will make Web capabilities such as bookmarking available on Windows, while the ability to record activities and exchange them among
different programs will be available on a Web browser. XML will play a large role in developing Microsoft's new software, specifically in classifying content to facilitate searching.
