TJ, I suggest you finish reading the fm before you make a hasty decision. There is absolutely no rush to get into this game, as once begun, it will go on for years. But since you are confusing the Godzilla and Gorilla games, I don't think you are ready to make an informed decision quite yet.

tjdillon.... CTXS isn't web software, and it isn't a chimp. You really need to do more studying before rushing in to invest in things you probably don't understand yet. If you are determined to "buy before learn" you could buy QQQ and switch out when you are more expert. It takes a lot of time to come up to speed on this stuff but it can be done with some effort.
I'm not trying to put you down, you just need more study before you can really participate well in this thread. The books are not enough, read this thread, and go back to other threads that discuss gg stocks. The CTXS and NTAP are 2 good ones for rational discussion, and less crowded than QCOM threads.
good investing

Welcome to the board, but, ya gatta make your own decisions here TJ!
The wording of your post leads me to believe that you are new to this game. I suggest you hold on to your 10K, continue to RTFM, and then buy into a couple of Gorillas when you are ready to get your feet wet.
