That's a kind of tough one, because I don't think the answer can be generalized. The RFM would say that you shouldn't sell on price. You should sell only if you see some other disruptive technology coming to replace it. My rough rule is to follow Mr. Buffett and say that if you can't survive a 50% drop you should be in another business, (Surviving still allows you to worry,complain, or even shed a few tears <<gg>>) Since there is a lot of feedback from some very smart folks on this thread I don't think being mistaken about gorilla status would be secret very long.
