re: intricate TA machinations :

My strategy is very simple now: short all rallies in QQQ.

Otherwise, I sit on a pile of cash, waiting and waiting, till good values reappear. The last time that happened (good prices in good companies) was October 1998.

dclapp: The "market direction" for the next few months seems so obvious that intricate TA machinations belong in the "watch me make that shot" of finesse pool-playing -- not the real world.

Hhhhhmmmm, some of us work at catching the intraday to swing trade oscillations, such as catching the bounce in QCOM yesterday and or PLUG. Identifying support and resistance price action areas, trend lines and patterns coupled with supportive indicators, produces some fairly good bets. However, one has to labor at it, wishful thinking does not work.

There is money to be made in volatility!
