spirit- my bullishness is a little more short term, think we will get more relief rally, but then another selloff, would not be picking up any long term positions yet, lower liquidity, end of earnings season, and typical february selloff are still ahead of us, but do see some short term trade opportunities in tech leaders
like my qualcomm, ebay, jdsu positions real well today, look for qcom to rock back to 140-150 area on pending china deal, but at this point looking for "scalps", will profit often and sell into rallies
ps if you want a real value play, check out my favorite, fbn, leader in furniture industry, about 6.6 next years pe, a long record of record quarterly earnings, and the best brands in the business, broyhill, thomasville, lane, if you want to park some money in a real value play, this one is at the bottom, but is slow, boring, way to make money
good luck

Irvine Sensors and Two Subsidiaries Receive ISO 9001 Certification

COSTA MESA, Calif., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Irvine Sensors Corporation (Nasdaq: IRSN; BSE: ISC), today announced that it has received ISO 9001 certification from The National Registry. Novalog, Inc. and MicroSensors, Inc., two of the company's consolidated subsidiaries, have also received ISO 9001 certification. In addition, all three companies have qualified for the Electronics Quality Registry (EQR), an industry seal of excellence provided exclusively by The National Registry to eligible companies. The ISO 9000 series of International Standards for quality management and quality assurance has been adopted in over 200 countries and is being implemented by thousands of manufacturing and service organizations in both public and private sectors.

"These certifications are central to our on-going commercialization initiatives," said James D. Evert, Irvine Sensors' President and Chief Executive Officer. "The National Registry has not only recognized the dedication of our employees and the strength of our controls, it has given us the recognized validation that many commercial customers require. We believe these certifications will allow us to compete for new business opportunities at both the parent and subsidiary level," Evert concluded.

The ISO 9000 standards were developed by the non-governmental International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The family of ISO standards are market-driven and developed by international consensus among experts drawn from a wide range of industrial, technical and business sectors to provide standard guidelines for effective quality management systems. This has resulted in their widespread use, even though ISO standards are voluntary.

According to Robert W. Lackland, President of The National Registry, "Global competition and increasing end-user expectations have required companies to improve the way they do business. Companies that consistently provide high quality products and services are not just surviving; they are thriving in the worldwide marketplace. Adoption of ISO 9000 standards gives companies a means to assure their customers that their products and services meet internationally-recognized standards for quality, customer care, and sound management practices."

The National Registry, located in Fairfax, Virginia, has been providing ISO 9000 and QS-9000 registration services since 1993. In addition, the firm qualifies organizations and individuals for the exclusive Industry Seals of Excellence or the Certified Professional Registry programs. For more information about The National Registry, please visit the firm's web site, www.thenationalregistry.com, or contact Mr. Lackland at 1-703-205-9600.
