The founder and CEO of Sandisk - Eli Harrari - is an ex-Intel manager.

He previously founded Wafer Scale Integration, after leaving Intel.

Don't expect any cooperation between these two companies during the current Millenium.

Sandisk is having tremendous success and market momentum, as well as an intricate web of alliances among major hardware manufacturers, and so it's not good that Intel and Sandisk are at odds...>

I STRESS, I am not up on FLASH business issues, and I can't really think of anybody in my circle that would know the answers to your questions. If I happen to run across a FLASH resource, I'll ask about this. I find your level of concern a little disconcerting, and admittedly don't know if it's justified or not.
