What do you get if you summaritze Qcom + Nokia. As far as I know mips has no connection on wireless of anykind. So it has more a 'linear' growth model.

Nokia alone builds today half (my wild quess, details later with results) worlds digital handsets. Was it last october when Nokia growth prospects was uppgraded by ceo Jorma Ollila?

Macroeconomics: Asian consumer is coming back, even gold and fur is feeling the impact. (Cellphones was the only consumer product which was not badly hit in Asian under recession time, people just want these magical toys, more than new cloths, shoes or tv-sets.)

The demand of these Jetsonwatches has outstriped all expectations. And remember only the newest models with internet or WAP connectivity use these prozessors. If you are really interested you must read Nokias results and all analysis on cellular markets.

Wireless growth outstrip fixed line access growth in every turn.
I China and 3rd world countries they don't have time or money to build fixed line networks. They are (Africa, China, S-America) the really startups with wireless.
