All, China's MII Releases CDMA Standards (1/31/00) ChinaÝs Ministry of Information Industry (MII) recently issued a series of telecom industry standards related to the CDMA sector, reported the January 27 Renmin Youdian (People's Post & Telecommunications News). The newly released standards include the following six: 1. The technical requirements for the 800 MHz CDMA digital cellular mobile communications network interface between the mobile switching centers and base station sub-systems. The standardÝs serial number is YD/T 1026-1999 and the implementation date is April 1, 2000. 2. The testing standard for the 800 MHz CDMA digital cellular mobile communications network interface between the mobile switching centers and base station sub-systems. The standardÝs serial number is YD/T 1027-1999 and the implementation date is April 1, 2000. 3. The mobile station part of the overall technical standard for the 800 MHz CDMA digital cellular mobile communications network equipment. The standardÝs serial number is YD/T 1028-1999 and the implementation date is December 27, 1999. 4. The base station part of the overall technical standard for the 800 MHz CDMA digital cellular mobile communications network equipment. The standardÝs serial number is YD/T 1029-1999 and the implementation date was December 27, 1999. 5. The technical requirements for the 800 MHz CDMA digital cellular mobile communications network aerial interface. The standardÝs serial number is YD/T 1030-1999 and the implementation date was December 27, 1999. 6. The technical requirements for the mobile application part of the 800 MHz CDMA digital cellular mobile communications network. The standardÝs serial number is YD/T 1031-1999 and the implementation date was December 27, 1999. In addition, the CDMA Working Group under the China Wireless Telecom Standard Group (CWTS) held its seventh working conference in Beijing during January 20 - 21, 2000. The meeting examined and approved the drafts for three CDMA standards, including the "Overall Testing Standard for the 800 MHz CDMA Digital Cellular Mobile Communications Network Equipment: Base Station Part", the "Overall Testing Standard for the 800 MHz CDMA Digital Cellular Mobile Communications Network Equipment: Switching Sub-system Part" and the "Testing Standard for the Mobile Applications Part (MAP) of the 800 MHz CDMA Digital Cellular Mobile Communications Network".
