Hi! Kemble: Re: "DELL hiring 4000 people in the third quarter...What for?"

My company just decided last week to get new computers for my office. My boss decided that it was time to buy. It is rare for him to spend the money to upgrade the entire office at once. If my local office is doing that, how many other companies are doing the same?

My industry is in the middle of going digital, so many major radio groups are using the opportunity to get new computers and servers. The are over 10,000 radio stations in the US. Many of the individual stations and group owners with which I work are purchasing new automation systems and computers. They have to purchase new receivers as well, if they take anything by satellite. This is the only time this has ever happened in the history of radio. I expect some major orders to come through for Dell, out of my industry alone. Clear Channel is based in San Antonio. That is a huge account for someone, hopefully Dell!

They will need the 4000 people! They must be gearing up for some huge orders!:) Leigh
