No - Intel entered that market with their MiniCard concept - a concept that ultimately failed. Before failing, however, the market for Flash cards for consumer gadgets took a long time to develop - and only in the last 12 months or so has this market "taken off".

In the mean time, Intel found better markets for its flash technology - and is currently expanding its flash capacity to address these other markets (mobile cell phones, for example).
